Nathan Kegel, PhD
Dr. Nathan Kegel, PhD is a clinical neuropsychologist at the UPMC Sports Medicine Concussion Program and an assistant professor at the University of Pittsburgh Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Kegel has been a part of the UPMC Sports Medicine Concussion Program since 2009, first completing a two-year fellowship program in sports neuropsychology. He was hired as full-time clinical faculty in 2011. Dr. Kegel has been fellowship director for the UPMC Sports Medicine Concussion Program since 2017. He has taught several semester-long child neuropsychology classes as an adjunct professor at Duquesne University and frequently conducts lectures and workshops related to sports concussion on a local and national level. Dr. Kegel’s research interests center around assessment and management of pediatric concussion.
