Pittsburgh Shoulder Institute/UPMC director Albert Lin, MD recently attended the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA) annual meeting in Phoenix.
AANA is an international organization that advances the field of minimally invasive orthopaedic surgery and includes over 5,000 orthopaedic surgeons and medical professionals.
During the annual meeting, Dr. Lin presented multiple lectures, including Joint-Preserving Strategies for Massive Cuff Tears and How and When I Use Bone Blocks in 2026.
Multiple podiums were presented by research fellows and residents alike. Medical student, Ryan Gilbert, BA, presented two PSI studies, which include "Relative Effectiveness of Three Conservative Treatments in the Management of Calcific Tendinitis" and "Overhead Athletes Have Similar Long-Term PROs to Non-Overhead Athletes After Shoulder Stabilization". Sahil Dadoo, MD, PGY-2 presented "Long-Term Outcomes After Arthroscopic Bankart Repair for On-Track Lesions at Mean 10-Year Follow-Up".
