Upendra K. Kar, PhD, MBA, MPPM

Upendra K. Kar, PhD, MBA, MPPM, is Associate Professor (Research) in the Department of Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh and Director of Special Projects at the Trauma and Transfusion Medicine Research Center (TTMRC). His research spans multi-omic and proteomic biomarker discovery, AI-driven trauma informatics, cancer immunotherapy, and radiation biology, with 37+ publications and 2 U.S. patents on vault nanoparticle platforms. He holds a PhD in Life Sciences from AIIMS New Delhi, an MBA, a Master of Public Policy and Management from the University of Pittsburgh, a Graduate Certificate in FDA Regulatory Science, and Applied Statistics.
