Dr. Nischal is one of the pioneers of pediatric corneal transplants. His areas of clinical expertise include pediatric cataract, cornea, and glaucoma, craniosynostosis, syndromes and ocular genetics.
He is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Pediatric Glaucoma and Cataract Family Association (PGCFA). He is the founder and co-director of the World Society of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus. Since 1991, he has been a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.
