Ting Cong, MD

Dr. Cong is an Attending Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in Sports Medicine. He is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh. He is affiliated with the UPMC Freddie Fu/Rooney Sports Medicine Complex, UPMC Mercy, UPMC Shadyside, and UPMC East. As a member of the faculty in the Division of Sports Medicine, Dr. Cong treats disorders related to joints, bone, and soft tissues including tendons and ligaments. He received his medical school training at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York.

His current academic focus resides in joint preservation, optimization of tissue healing, disorders of cartilage and underlying bone, and Skeletal Stem Cell therapy. Dr. Cong retains a surgeon-scientist role at UPMC and the University of Pittsburgh.
